HP ATA COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
HP ATA Connected Devices
Students will learn industry-standard client technologies, including the planning and designing of common desktop virtualization, mobile computing, traditional PCs, thin clients, and cloud infrastructures for small and medium businesses. Students will also learn how to install, configure, and upgrade client solutions. They will also troubleshoot and perform repair and replacement procedures for client solutions using the HP 6-step troubleshooting methodology. In addition to performing version control, backups and maintenance tasks, they will also explore the impact of client technologies on customer needs(Packard, 2012). - HP ATA Connected Devices e-Book
Students will learn how to explain and recognize networking technologies such as data link protocols, physical connections, layer 3 routing, upper layer protocols and applications, and multicast technology for small and medium businesses. Students will also learn how to plan and design wired and wireless network solutions and how to install, configure, initiate, and upgrade networks. They will learn to optimize wireless, switched, and routed network infrastructures. In addition to troubleshooting those infrastructures, they will perform administrative, operational, and network management. They will also learn the implications of these technologies on customer needs(Packard, 2012). (Coming Soon)
HP ATA - Servers and Storage
Students will learn to describe server applications and functionality, common industry x86 and 64-bit operating systems and solution stacks, OS architecture and data center components for small and medium businesses. Students will describe HP and industry-standard servers, health and fault management tools, rack series, power protection and management, and storage options. They will also describe standard HP and other standard management solutions for Windows and Linux on x86 and 64-bit systems. They will also plan, design, and install server and storage solutions, including the operating system and the management software. They will tune and optimize server and storage solutions, plus troubleshoot and repair these systems using the HP 6-step troubleshooting methodology(Packard, 2012).(Coming Soon)
HP ATA - Cloud
Students will learn how to explain and recognize industry-standard cloud and virtualization technologies for small and medium businesses. They will learn the common virtualization and cloud services, including their benefits and their implications on customer needs. They will also plan and design end-to-end IT solutions, including the process of gathering business objectives, plus they will create technology strategies for on-premises, hosted, and cloud solutions. Students will learn how to support disaster recovery plans and propose solutions to decision makers. And finally, students will install, configure, and upgrade servers, storage, data, networks, clients, applications, and users in new and existing environments(Packard, 2012). (Coming Soon)
